On Thursday, February 11th, HCIDLA proudly celebrated the official groundbreaking for the Meridian Apartments located on Vermont Avenue and 2nd Street. With 100 new units planned, the complex will feature comprehensive community services facilitated by Korean Churches for Community Development along with other agencies with a commitment to connecting Angelenos to diverse resources.
“This is more than providing affordable housing,” said Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell of the 13th District. “This project builds up our city.”
Developed by AMCAL Housing, Inc., the Meridian project moves the City one step closer to safe, affordable housing for all. The complex will provide amenity-enriched housing for families and seniors at all ranges of the economic spectrum and is conveniently located near a Metro rail transportation stop.
“Our staff and partners work long and hard to make these important projects possible,” said HCIDLA General Manager Rushmore Cervantes.
With Union Bank as the investment partner, this community gem is truly something to celebrate.
Cheers to more to come!
