Collecting Public Comments on Draft Community Action Plan for 2018-2019
HCIDLA has drafted a Community Action Plan (CAP) for 2018 and 2019 describing the City’s plans for delivering CSBG services over the next two years. The Plan identifies and assesses poverty-related needs and resources in the community and establishes a plan, including goals and priorities, for delivering services to individuals and families most affected by poverty.
CSBG funds may be used to support activities that assist low-income families and individuals, homeless families and individuals, migrant or seasonal farm workers, and elderly low-income individuals and families by removing obstacles and solving problems that block their achieving self‐sufficiency. CSBG funds are limited and need to be prioritized and targeted to provide the most benefit to the most people. We are preparing the plan to submit to our Community Action Board for approval and want to get public input on the plan to ensure community needs will be appropriately met.
Please submit any questions and feedback about the proposed Plan to email@example.com by May 10.
A copy of the plan is available for review at the HCIDLA Public Counter at 1200 W. 7th St., 1st Floor.
